Peer-to-Peer Video Reflection that Builds Teacher Presence

Dawn Esser from Southwestern Community College will share how she uses student created graphics, screen sharing, and video comments to create a student discussion on public speaking that helps students focus on strategies for coping with public speaking apprehension. This strategy could be used in a variety of disciplines and is modeled after the face-to-face instructional strategies. Dawn will also provide practical ideas for students to use and evaluate AI tools like Yoodli. Attendees will leave with actionable assessment ideas, authentic classroom examples, and encouraging strategies for fostering teacher and student communication across modalities.
